Overview

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG). This website does not use cookies, tracking or analytics tools. Fonts and images are served from this website itself; no third-party content is embedded.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. When you visit the website, Vercel automatically processes technical access data in server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, referrer, and browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are stored by Vercel for a limited period and then deleted automatically.

Data may be transferred to the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

Contact form and email

If you contact me via the contact form or by email, I process the data you provide (name, email address, subject and message) to answer your enquiry. When you use the contact form, your IP address is also processed to prevent abuse and spam: it is held in memory for one minute for rate limiting and included in the notification email.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or its preparation, and otherwise my legitimate interest in answering enquiries and protecting the form against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Emails are sent and stored via the mail servers of easyname GmbH, Austria. Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

External links

This website contains links to external websites, such as my profiles on GitHub, LinkedIn, Xing and X or photo credits on Unsplash. No data is transferred to these providers until you click a link; from then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

Regarding your personal data, you have the right to:

  • access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
